Kearney SportsPlex

Kearney Sportsplex is a massive, state-of-the-art indoor sports and recreation facility located in Kearney, Nebraska. The complex is designed to host major tournaments and athletes. It features a 9,000+ square-foot indoor pickleball area with 4 premium courts that officially opened in April 2025.

Lighting pickleball requires a specialized approach to minimize glare without compromising visibility. Around 90 Meteor Lighting’s Reizen series luminaires were selected to illuminate the courts, utilizing asymmetric optics and a specialized Glare Shield Visor to deliver bright, uniform illumination while minimizing direct glare. Mounted around the court perimeter rather than overhead, the fixtures maintain a clear visual field for players tracking high balls, creating a comfortable and professional-grade playing environment.
