Edmond’s First Baptist Church

Edmond’s First Baptist Church in Oklahoma recently completed a transformative sanctuary renovation as part of a broader modernization effort. Led by Paragon 360 in a comprehensive design-build process, the updated space was designed to support both in-person worship and an expanding broadcast ministry. A key component of the renovation was the integration of a new house lighting system that could deliver consistent performance, seamless control, and visual warmth. Eighty Atria 8 cylinder fixtures from Meteor Lighting were selected as the primary house lighting solution. According to Richard Heaton, Lighting Designer at Paragon 360, “These fixtures were chosen for their superior build quality, dim-to-zero capability, and video-friendly, high color rendering index (CRI) with high lumen output.” He added, “Moving to LED house lighting allowed aging equipment to be replaced with the energy-efficient Atria 8, promising low maintenance for years to come.” Equipped with Meteor Lighting’s VX driver technology, the Atria 8 fixtures provide high-frequency, flicker-free illumination ideal for broadcast applications. With DMX RJ45 connectivity, installation and system integration were streamlined, enabling smooth dimming performance and reliable operation.
